DIY Home Accents
You know how some ladies look at home and garden magazines cutting out photos of there dream home? Well I am not much different except I look at blogs and find photos of cheap DIY (design it yourself) ideas for my future home. Let me share some of my findings.
A Chalkboard Wall – wow this looks so fun, it would get so much use from us
Hanging Toys – Use fishing line to hang a toy. Amazing transformation to a little boys room.
Unique end tables – love the idea of a metal rolling cart against the hardwood floors. Looks awesome and doesn’t cost tons.
Mudroom door – They frosted the glass and put mudroom decals on it. How simple and sweet!
Typography Canvas – It would be so easy to spray paint a canvas black, sand it down, and stencil some white lettering… Sanding it down some more will give it the worn look.
Love the idea of the Chalkboard Paint but wonder what would happen if you needed to paint over it at some point in the future (ie selling your house)?
LOVE the chalkboard wall, I think I need to try this sometime, somewhere soon! Gianna would adore it. And the Canvas print is a really neat idea too…..I’m so bad DIY projects though!
Great ideas! We’re big fans of chalkboards, too. Ours are framed but I love the impact of one small wall in chalkboard paint from top to bottom. Pinterest is a great resource for discovering ideas, too.
