SO PLEASE CHANGE ANY LINKS. THANKS>>
Last night was expected to be an uneventful dragged-out Monday night like every other. We were all still tired from the weekend and planning on grilling hamburgers and relaxing around the house. Until our friend Amy called us with the news of 7 available box seat tickets to the Predators hockeygame at the Summit Center. Rhett loves hockey so we jumped at the offer! We had an hour till the game started and most of us were already in our jammies. So we got dressed abruptly and shoved toys and snacks in a bag and headed off.

Amy and her 2 sons used the other 3 of the 7 tickets. There was one other family of four sharing the box with us and I am sure we overwhelmed them with our chaos. But we had a blast! Rileigh discovered the cheerleaders right off… Jett played air guitar along with the live band. We had great seats and could see very well. Thanks to Amy for the tickets and thanks to the original owner of the tickets. They were well used!

Ok Share your thoughts.. this is one of many mock-ups but this one was chosen. I am making final changes and additions before slicing and coding. Let me know. Details matter people!
I have began publishing the design. If you would like to see it I have most of it done.
Still formatting tables and font styles.

I was catching up on some of my blog reads and I came across a link to a complete vintage online-store. It is incredible. So I am sharing some link love to BLUEBIRD VINTAGE …..
link found on http://promisetangemanblog.com/… THANKS FOR SHARING.
The festivities are over and we still have what little sanity we started with so I consider her birthday a success! We start off seeing Rhett’s parents last Thursday – Sunday and it was a blast! We took Rileigh to “Rain Forest Cafe” and took his parents around downtown Nashville.
The following weekend was the actual birthday weekend. Rhett and I took the kids to chuck-e-cheese on Friday Jan 30. She also received her birthday present from us. (a princess bike) Then my parents came to town and we took Rileigh to play Glow Golf which is glow-in-the-dark putt putt. My parents took her to the disney store to pick out her present and she picked out the “Aristocrats” cat stuffed animal, some princess shirts, and a minnie mouse night gown. That night she choose to eat at “O’charleys” and was extremely embarrassed when they sang Happy Birthday to her. Then we celebrated at the house with CAKE.
I almost forgot last night Feb. 2 we took her to eat a the “Aquarium” she was asking to go there both weekends but we ran out of time. So nana and papa sent money and told us to take her…. She loved it and I would have pictures but my battery died.
My little girl is 4 years old now!! I have enjoyed every minute of it! She is and always will be my baby girl.

Well for some time now Rhett and I have wanted to start eating organic but we have never pursued it. Moving to the Nashville area has blessed us with a Whole Foods Market. Now if you have never heard of or been to a Whole Foods than I am sorry. This is the most cleanest, well-organized grocery store ever. I fell in love at first sight.
Last week we began our journey to a healthier lifestyle by stocking up on our first weeks worth of organic goodies. Believe it or not there was only a $20.00 price increase and we bought more than normal. I tipically spend about $120 a week or less. That includes diapers and household items as well(no extra trips throughout the week either) This past week we spent $140 and we bought more than the weekly menu. For example Rhett had to have California Sushi Rolls.
But I am still learning the brands and the budget saving tips. If anyone knows any tips on saving money when buying organic please share? Or some child-approved recipes would be helpful as well…
Our next trip to Whole Foods is this Friday and I will share our success and discoveries. Oh, and if you follow my husband on twitter you might have noticed a twit-pic of a box of cereal. He was shocked there was actually a “Christian” brand.

It seems as if I am in a blogging rut. I can’t seem to find much to blog about lately. I am super busy with work and the babies. I am lucky to fnd 5 minutes to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee. But this morning has been very pleasant so far. I woke up to snow falling and a fresh cup of coffee.
The children woke up excited about Rileighs birthday. She has been counting down the days. My little girl will be 4 years old on Feburary 1. So this weekend Rhetts parents are planning to visit and my parents will be here the weekend following. We are not quite sure where we are taking her. She has mentioned the infamous Chuck-e-cheese. But we go there on a regular occasion. We are wanting to take her somewhere special she has not been. She loves childrens museums and putt-putt. So maybe we could do something of that sort. She also has asked to go to “Rainforest Cafe”, she loves the elephants.
The plans are still up in the air. Afterall we have two weekends of birthday surprises to plan for. We will be giving her present to her the night before her birthday since it falls on a Sunday. And do cake and such. If you have any awesome places or ideas for a 4 year olds birthday for the Nashville area please share!

Where do you take your children on there birthdays?

I am finally settled back down at home and starting to get back to the so called “normal” routine. Thank God we survived our Christmas chaos and are now entering the new year with a little sanity left. Every year I make some resolutions and for the most part I do stick with them. So here ya go…
1. paint more
2. create aprilcanipe.com officially.. (this seems far out of reach because I have little time to work on my own site)
3. give more – in every part of life.
4. eat healthier and stay in shape
5. read more – make time away from the babies to enjoy as many good books as possible
So there they are. What are your resolutions?
We have a very busy Christmas ahead of us. Tonight we will attend the Christmas Eve Service at Crossroads and then we celebrate Christmas at home with the kids. Tomorrow we will wake up about 3ish and head out while the kids sleep in the car to Charolette, NC to see Rhetts side of the family. We will do round one of presents and spend the night. Then Friday morning we will head to Augusta, GA to have round two with my side of the family. Saturday morning we will see some old friends and go to Rhett’s parents house to spend the night. Sunday morning Rhett will lead worship at Heights Church and we will then head home. Rhett’s uncle and family will then be coming to spend the night at our house to start round three of gifts. Lots of gifts.
Wow I am already tired.
So excited though and cannot wait to see everyone. Its been awhile.
What will you be doing for Christmas?
