I moved!
P90X
I have heard many good things about p90x. For those of you who do not know what it is, it’s a work out program. It comes with a bunch of different workout DVDs and a nutrition plan that you do in 90 days. Well Rhett and I have decided to do it. I have always been athletic so it shouldn’t be too difficult. My only issue will be finding a way to fit it into my schedule. I am trying to think of something I could eliminate to find time but I can’t. I like my sleep too much to wake up super early especially since I am already getting woke up almost every night by one of the littles. I also find sanity in my blog and reading time. I do not watch TV so that’s not an option. I think I will just sacrifice some cleaning for 90 days. Haha. I clean a lot so it’s not going to show, hopefully. We plan to workout after lunch everyday while the kids are resting.
I will try to include you in my journey. We are getting it this weekend from a friend and will start this upcoming Monday. I am excited to see what the results will be.
My goal is to lose 5-10lbs and tone up. I also would like to have more energy. Working out always does that for me.
Wish us luck.
*ps: we are going out-of-town this friday, saturday, and sunday for Rhett’s show with the Crabb Revival, so might be on hiatus for a couple of days.
Let me know your experiences with p90x!?
Mema
I found out yesterday that my Mema (my mom’s mom) is sick. She is having kidney problems, dehydration, and they discovered she has cancer. The doctors told us she only has a month to live. This is hard for me because I have never had to deal with losing someone before that I have so many memories with. My mema was a huge influence on me. She would pick me up from school a lot (my chauffeur) and we would have many in-depth discussions about life. I promised “one day I will be rich and she will live in the west wing of my castle” many times. She would laugh but always agreed even though to most it would seem unrealistic. She never discouraged my dreams. I only remember happy thoughts about her. She is very silly always doing her own thing regardless of the crowd. I was looking at my wedding photos recently and came across one of Rhett and I leaving the church after the crowd was gone. In that picture is Mema standing in the middle of the parking lot telling us bye as we drive away. It is one of my favorite pictures. I remember as a child Mema was never empty handed when she came to visit. Her bag would be full of treasures from yard sales and thrift stores. Maybe this is where I get my trash to treasure outlook. She would take me so many places. She took me to carnivals, church fellowships, and dairy queen. I have so many fun memories with her.
As of now she is not in the best shape to visit in the hospital but I am still hoping I get to. I pray that God’s will is done and that she has no pain. I pray that our family can find peace through this hard time and seek God for comfort.
Rileigh noticed I was crying after I had found out and I tried avoiding the conversation but she wouldn’t drop it. She wanted to know what was wrong. I told her I was sad because Mema is really sick and will be going to heaven soon. She smiled and said “Then she won’t be sick anymore! She will be young and can play again!” I pray that I can find the joy in this like my 6 year old can. Rileigh then said “I am sorry you are sad” and gave me a picture of a fairy with stars all around her. Then said “You know who this is, Mema in heaven!” I lost it. My emotions were so overwhelming. I felt sadness, joy, and relief from one picture.
I pray that I can find strength during this not only for me but for my mom and family.
The Sleepover
Finally here are the pictures from Rileigh’s sleepover. We started the day off by shopping and picking up her cake that says “Happy Birthday Princess Rileigh”. We picked up some hot-n-ready pizzas and movies. She picked Tooth Fairy, Barbie Fashionista, Tinkerbell (the new one), and Karate Kid. They watched them all! Madison is our neighbor so she had no problem spending the night since she knew mommy was just next door. We had so much fun! Still can’t believe she is 6 now!
We went shopping at Claires to spend her giftcard.
She picked out a diary, purple purse, and a kitty cat necklace.
We played “Just Dance”
We ate pizza and cake on our tangled plates.
Dressed up like fashion stars!
Wrote in her new diary and colored.
Painted our nails and watched movies.
Did more dancing.
Princess stuff from her friend.
Dear Rileigh,
Mommy loves you so much! I am proud of the sweet and gentle little girl you are. You are so compassionate and friendly. You are a very talented and smart girl. I look forward to watching you grow even though I do not want you to. The other day you told daddy and I, “I don’t want to grow up.” Well I thought “me neither”, but then thought of all the memories and fun I would miss out on. I so look forward to everything we still have to share with each other. You will always be my Rileigh, my firstborn drama queen that loves to talk. You truly are a princess!
Love, Mommy
It’s the little things
My husband amazes me with his consideration and compassion he has towards his family. I am constantly reminded of how much he loves us. Friday while we were both busy bees working I looked up and said “Hey you, tonight’s date night, no working, kay?” Mr: “Yes ‘mam!” We then mentioned we would rent a movie. So I didn’t think any more about it just got busy working so I’d have my night free. Well in my distractions he called our good friend Mrs. Amy and asked her to watch the kids. So I am sitting working in the living room when Rhett says casually “Mrs. Amy’s here” and I think nothing of it. Then she comes in and he starts putting coats on the kids and I am like wait a minute she is here for them?! They smile mischievously and I realize I was doing more than renting a movie! I quickly gathered myself and we went to dinner alone! It was so sweet. Then we came home put the kids to bed and watched our movie.
I love the simple things.
Here are a few others:
- never getting off the phone without saying he loves me, unless we are in a HUGE hurry otherwise there is always time.
- kisses me before leaving me no matter where we are
- i love when we are riding in the car, usually surrounded by little voices and noises, and he reaches over and holds my hand
- he surprises me with Frapps and Sonicblasts!
- he drives. everywhere. (unless he is not around haha.)
- he takes pictures for my blog when he sees I am forgetting to
- he watched the Twilight movies with me
- he stocks me with Diet Coke without a request
- he calls or texts to tell me what i mean to him when something reminds him of me
I could go on for awhile but I need to finish up because it is almost time for the Superbowl.
xoxo

footnote: i plan to blog Rileigh's sleepover tomorrow, if i find time.

Birthday Princess
Yesterday my baby turned 6! I am so proud of who she is! Time flies by so quickly so I am doing everything to enjoy them as much as possible, including blogging less.
To start her day off she woke up to find this!
A princess banner, table-cloth, presents, cards, cupcakes, a princess button, pink pancake mix, and a giant coloring book.

Still sleepy!
PINK Pancakes!!!
Daddy made a donut run as well!
She got a ton of barbies!! And was thrilled!

We got her “Just Dance Kids” and she is a dancing fool!
We got dressed and let her decide where we should go for lunch.
My other cutie. He was soo good to his sissy! Never complained about not being in the spotlight.
She choose Cici’s Pizza. *Random fact: I worked there as a teenager and was working there when I met Rhett.*
We played games.
Then we went back to the house for a birthday cupcake!
Surprise! A knock on the door with candy and balloons! She was so excited!
Jett was not left out.
Happy Birthday Pretty Girl! You are your mama’s pride and joy! I love you more than you could ever know!!
Next is the Slumber Party this Saturday!
Our Classroom
Pretty Days Require Play
Yesterday we had to get out of the house since the weather was so pretty! We decided to head to downtown Murfreesboro since we have never been. We walked around and did some shopping. I found some Ugg flip flops that were originally $28 on sale 70% off so I got them for $9! I love them! Now it just needs to warm up so I can wear them. Did I mention the are a coral pink color!
Then we found a Bar and Grill to get some snacks. The kids enjoyed ice cream while Daddy and I split a loaded cheese chips appetizer. It was goooood.
*My hair is straight… I am not a fan of it that way. It looks deflated! haha*
